Getting Started with Your StagSigns LED Display
Welcome to the StagSigns family! This guide will walk you through setting up your new LED sign and getting it running with beautiful, eye-catching displays in no time.Before you begin: Ensure you have a stable WiFi connection, a mobile device or computer, and access to a standard power outlet.

Step 1: Unboxing and Inspection
Carefully remove your sign from its packaging and inspect for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Check that all components are included.Important: If you notice any damage or missing parts, please contact our support team immediately at support@stagsigns.net
Step 2: Mounting Your Sign
Choose a location that’s visible to your target audience and has access to power. Your sign can be mounted in two ways:Wall Mounting
- Use the included template to mark drilling points
- Drill holes using a 3/16″ bit
- Insert wall anchors if not mounting to a stud
- Attach mounting brackets using the provided screws
- Carefully hang the sign on the brackets until it clicks into place
Hanging Installation
- Attach the included ceiling hooks at your desired location
- Thread the hanging wire through the sign’s mounting points
- Ensure the sign is level before finalizing the installation
Weight Considerations
- Small (24″ x 12″) – 5 lbs – Standard wall anchors
- Medium (36″ x 18″) – 8 lbs – Stud mounting recommended
- Large (48″ x 24″) – 12 lbs – Stud mounting required
Step 3: Powering On
Connect the power adapter to your sign and plug it into a standard outlet. The sign should illuminate with a default welcome animation.Safety Note: Never modify the power adapter or use third-party power supplies not rated for your specific sign model.
Step 4: Connecting to WiFi
- Your new sign will create a temporary WiFi network named “StagSigns-XXXXX”
- Connect to this network using your phone or computer
- Open a web browser and navigate to 192.168.4.1
- Select your home or business WiFi network from the list
- Enter your WiFi password
- Click “Connect”
Troubleshooting Tip: If your sign doesn’t create a WiFi network, press and hold the reset button on the back of the sign for 10 seconds, then try again.
Step 5: Install the StagSigns Mobile App
For the best experience, download our mobile app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 6: First-Time Setup
- Open the StagSigns app
- The app should automatically discover your sign on the network
- Tap on your sign to connect
- Follow the in-app wizard to:
- Name your sign
- Set your timezone
- Choose initial display settings
